I put the link into my listings & it looks great -- really nifty!

The question: The auctions I launched last night are on the first page of eBay's gallery "only" page -- but they don't show up in my personal gallery! Did I do something wrong?

Also: if I use "ExchangePath" (a free PayPal clone that accepts many cards like AMEX), is it ethical for me to check off the AMEX icon on my listing?

HELP! THANKS!

It's an indexing problem. Since your personal gallery includes a titles & descriptions search, these searches take a little more time to be properly indexed. Give it a few more hours for it to show up succesfully.

Hi

Your FULL GALLERY will not show for another few hours, as it uses a different engine to bring it up. It has been my experience that it can take from 14 to 24 hours to show...so hang in there...

As to AMEX...If you have no bids, I personally cannot see anything wrong with removing the link...Of course, if you already HAVE bids, then bidders might get upset.. Your call... JMHO

BTW: does you link already TAKE YOU THERE? It should say "There are no pictures in your Gallery"...If you don't see that, there might be a problem with your HTML.

Shosh: Thanks, but here's what I mean:

1) ExchangePath accepts many different cards, including Amex, JBC(?), DinersClub, etc!

2) When I create a new auction, I'm going to say something like: "I accept AMEX... via (the ExchangePath button)

3) Am I also allowed to check-off the eBay boxes for "I accept Amex" so the Amex icon shows up?

I don't physically accept Amex -- ExchangePath does!

So, my question is, is it ethical for me to have the Amex logo on my listing?

THANKS!
tom

If you put:

I accept AMEX trough ExchangePath it's perfectly ethical.

Also, gallery for auctions listed last night, will be a while for them to show up.

While you're at it, I'd appreciate your critique of my TOS -- since you are a PRO & I am a NEWBIE, your opinion would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

...hardly a Newbie....

I would put your Gallery link much higher in your listing.

For International bidders you might consider MO's from a US bank too

"For payment from International bidders, I accept BidPay Money Orders, International Postal Money Orders, or Money Orders issued through a Bank located in the USA ONLY -- please, no exceptions."

How's this look?

Hey! Tom... Trust me, I am no pro!...I learned the Gallery thingy last year from PREACHER4...

Your page looks good..and your Gallery is nice and full..Good show...

What are the dors on two sides of the template? Looks like a loss of data of some kind...No biggy...

And I agree: you might perhaps consider trading places between the OAUA and your GALLERY....Make the GALLERY first....

Here is a link to an old auction of mine. I have not listed on Ebay for a while...Will start again soon..

Shosh: I don't see the doors -- all I see is the AW template I used.
Anyhoo, thanks for the advice -- it is greatly appreciated.

I'm a NEWBIE in the sense that I've only been selling since May & I've only used a computer for 22 mos -- learning Windoze98 was a real trip!! Learning how to sell I owe 100% to THE FOLKS ON THESE BOARDS LIKE YOU (& BILL) & AW!

DOTS...not DOORS....sorry about that...

With my browser, I see little white dotted lines on the right and bottom sides of the table...Could be a glitch in my browser...computers ARE strange animals...

UPDATE!

The new auctions showed up finally!
Thanks, guys (& gals!) for all the help!
This personal "gallery," even if it doesn't get many more bidders (though it should!) sure is a COOL tool!
