Here's how the conversation went:
Q. "Why is eBay allowing the sales of copyright infringing materials to be sold on their site?"
A. "We get 30,000 new members every day."
Q. "I have been notifying you about these illegal items for 3 weeks."
A. "Our site lists 5,000,000 items every day."
Q. "I have referered you to your OWN lawyer's written rules that prohibit these items".
A. "Those are just guidelines ... we'll change them."
Q. "I have even sent you correspondence from the MPAA that agrees with your lawyers and tells you that you are allowing a criminal activity to occur on your site."
A. "I normally deal with Power Seller Accounts."
Q. Are you going to stop these illegal auctions?"
A. "The eBay population is now bigger than New York."
At that point, I told them to take a hike. I will let the MPAA deal with eBay .. (where do they find idiots like these????)
