I launched two auctions last night through AW. I got an e-mail from eBay stating "all information is current". Then it listed my 2 auctions followed by: "Keep in mind that you are committing to selling these items at eBay.Refusing to sell these items to the high bidder at the end of your auction will cause you to lose your registered status."
I never saw this before. Is it something new or did someone make a complaint about me? I did neg a buyer after 5 weeks of promising to pay and nothing. She sent payment 2 days after my neg - postmarked envelope - and I sent it back to her because I put the item up for auction again and someone bid on it.

I think that everyone that buys or sells now gets a weekly update in case your brain falls out of your head and you just can't remember what you're selling or bidding on. Just a little automated love from eBay.

Just standard...Just as EOA reminds both bidder AND seller that avoiding contacting each other could earn them a NEG. It's not that bad...Food for thought for both parties, in case someone might not want to follow through..

I'm guessing that they have been getting a lot of complaints from bidders because sellers wouldn't follow through with the sale because the bid wasn't high enough at auction close. One could, I suppose, consider this as a warning that if eBay goes down, you're still committed to selling.
