I was reading an article about privacy in the paper this weekend that showed the TRUSTe seal of approval that Ebay displays on their site. It states that to carry this seal the "Site must disclose what information is collected and shared. Users must have access to their data and the choice whether it will be shared." Note the word choice!
Doesn't this mean if Ebay should ever attempt to give out phone numbers, street addresses again, they have to get each user's approval to allow it?
