I have been selling on ebay for about a year, mostly small stuff. I recently had a friend ask me about selling metal working equipment. 4 machines worth about $2000. Has anyone sold equipment like this and how? I'm seeing equipment listed but no bids. Secondly, how do you handle shipping on big items? Any assistance would be appreciated!

The machines are big. Two drill presses, one mill, one metal shear. He wanted to sell them in a lot. But I don't see any machines going like that. He said they would be good for a small business.

I have great luck selling power, hand and industrial tools on eBay. They all sold for much more than I anticipated.
On the smaller items up to 30 lbs or so I shipped UPS
On two separate pieces one wieghing 800 lbs and the other 300 lbs, I stated that the buyer is completely responsible for crating and shipping.
One buyer actually drove from New Mexico to Miami and the other from North Florida to pick up these heavy items.
