How are we sellers suppose to sell anything if the search function doesn't work. Every day I search for walker dolls for my own collection and if I do a search at smart search I come up with thousands. Today do a search walker under doll category and get 3 yup Three only three listed! Which is impossible. I hope all of my items are searchable!

jib444:

Why don't you try AW's Universal Search (just click on that tab right at the top of the page)?

Searching in "Dolls", Title & Description, generates 487 results.

Now GO... spend that money!!!

I shouldn't spend the money but am more worried my auctions to support this habit of buying aren't getting into searches! It's like when you list something and either someone bids on it too soon or you change something in your auction you don't get in the description searches either. Ebay has Got To stop making so many new changes and fix the fundamental features that find buyers and keep them working!

I just tried a few more searches on typical things!!! Eh God most are coming up empty and some are only coming up with a handful of items when there should be hundreds. Nice to go to other search engines but are typical customers are using Ebay's Search Engine. Someone posted a message chat about having low sales. I can see why. PLEASE Ebay Fix this problem. Not that Please here will do any good. Maybe a few of us could email [email protected] or something.

Well it is almost 5:00 PM EDT and I just tried smart search on eBay and got no listings.

OK...so I tried just the word "vase" and got no listings. Next I tried for a few baseball cards I know are listed and got no listings. All afternoon it has been sort of working with connection refused messages now and then. But now it isn't working at all.

The last time this happened I got a message from eBay to clear my cache....

Anyone else having problems?

Title search for "vase" brings up 22,417 listings.

Descriptive search for "vase" brings up 25,541

I've gotten no connection reset messages.

How about hanging up the modem line, rebooting your computer, and dialing in again?

i just tried it and its messed up. i tried it again and it worked. also it seems to depend on what part of the country your in and what you are looking for.
this is serious
my sales have dipped down to nothing along with other sellers i know. we couldnt figure it out. im in pa and its happening i just got off the phone with a dealer in del. and he cant find half of his stuff with search
rebooting dosnt help
and even if it did
what paying customer will reboot to search or even know they should
report it to ebay everybody or it wont get fixed

I did a title search today, and it brought up three items. I then put in the same search words and clicked the "search title and description" box, and it came up with 0 items.

rachelee -- decided to stop lurking and post for a change!

I know it isn't my connection. I am on a T1 line. Search seems to be working in fits.
