Last year I got a rush of bids around mid-December. Yep, those last-minute shoppers were bidding on Christmas gifts on the 20th of December. Please do your seller a favor and DO YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING EARLY!

I am anticipating a huge number of bids to come in just prior to Christmas, and this year with Paypal it's going to be a nightmare. "Hey, I sent you the money as soon as the auction closed. I need that Christmas gift in two days." To quote Dana Carvey, "not gonna happen."

Get smart and don't rely on your seller to bust their butt because you were lazy and waited until the last minute. If you want to be sure to get that item by Christmas, bid on it in November! Word up.

twinsoft-

Last year, my bids fell of right at December 1st and did not return. I believe (thinking back hard here) that I only shipped maybe 15 items during the entire month, and I was still running between 50 to 65 auctions a week.
I certainly don't mind people shopping early, but I will not be holding my breath after December 1st this year.

I start getting ready for the Christmas rush about mid November. Get all my shipping suplies in, double check inventory, make up some auction templates, get tons of gift wrap (I offer gift wraping around the holidays).

If you can't handle your Christmas rush, send 'em my way. I'll be all set to go!

PS: For other sellers gearing up for the holida, don't forget to bake an extra batch of cookies for the postman!

I think USPS does a quicker delivery at Christmas with Priority than UPS 3 Day does. I live out of state from my family and they send gifts UPS mid December and they arrive after Christmas. I send auction items Priority and last year was sending them right to the last cutoff day in mid December, and all items arrived in time.

I just received a ton of boxes from USPS and I'm all set. Even though I can't find some of my furniture, I am sure it will resurface in 2001.

How about Halloween? Time to list that extra-funky vintage clothing.

Life is uncertain, that's for sure. (A pun, get it?)

Expect delays of up to three weeks if you ship by USPS. Bidders, don't wait until the last minute. That Barbie doll or software game will sit safely on the top shelf of your closet until it's time for Christmas wrapping. You'll get better deals if you're not fighting the hordes of other last-minute Christmas bidders.

I plan on spending Christmas Eve with my family, not doing eBay stuff. So be smart and do your shopping early.

A public service announcement from Twinsoft.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! (except for back to school)
