I recently sent a package out to a customer, correctly labeled etc. Delivery Confirmation attached. The package came back today stating the recipient did not pick up (respond). How do handle the problem. I generally write back and bill the customer for reshipping fees.
Product cost was only $5.00. Shipping was $3.55. Now what?

Empires--
I'm no expert, but I would definitely say that the damage is on the buyer. If he/she didn't pick up the merchandise in a timely manner, the PO will return it to sender...but the PO holds it for what? Two weeks about? I would contact the buyer, explain the terms under which the package was sent back to you, and inform him/her that additional shipping monies will be required up front to remail the package. Fair is fair. You might, if you are feeling generous, offer to release the buyer from the sale and return his/her check/m.o./credit, but that would be going WAY out of your way to help someone whom you owe nothing. Has the buyer not contacted you asking, "Where is my stuff?"
