Hi all. I contacted SafeHarbor (for the first time in a year of selling) several days ago regarding a spurrious and unfair negative feedback (my only one ever) left by a deadbeat bidder. It was totally retaliatory, but it is also slanderous and insulting. Imagine my confusion and dismay when today I receive a cryptic form letter from SafeHarbor that thanks me for my concern and assures me they want to help but that in order for them to be able to, I need to send information about the situation.

That's fair...But I COMPLETELY delineated the ENTIRE situation, including the number of emails I sent the deadbeat, the number of WEEKS I waited before negging him, and the content of his comment that I found insulting and potentially damaging.

I am very disappointed with SafeHarbor at this point. In my original email, I even stated that I wasn't sure if they could help in the first place, since I do get to respond to his comment. I wrote that I just would like to know, if, given the situation, they could help me in removing his comment.

How about some reassurance, guys. SafeHarbor really does help...right?
Perhaps mine was not a "situation" worthy of their attention...I would just shake my head and smile anyway if they would just tell me so.

junkluvr: Yes, SafeHarbor does help - but they can't remove it unless it meets the criteria here:

Much Thanks, Glenda! That explains it! Looks like I'm stuck with an unfair neg. Oh well, I'm sure I'm not the only one!

My understanding is, if you have not already left feedback, you can get it removed by leaving one in response so obscene and ugly they have to remove it and the other will go with it. If you can bring yourself to do that. I have not tried it but read it on other threads.

Does Safeharbor work?

Well, look at it this way.

If your like me, you get 10 emails a day from people soliciting "Accept Credit Cards On Your Website Now!"

I usually just can them.

Safeharbor pretty much works the same way.
They get tons of email each day that they consider junk, but the only difference is, they have to respond to your emails. What kind of response will you get?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Well, refer to the previous line.
