I have a question about a Kathe Kruse doll in my possession. I have tried to call Germany and speak to someone at the factory, but they don't speak English and I don't speak German.

I have a Kathe Kruse doll that I would like to put up for auction. I am trying to find out what the doll is worth. I got the doll from the estate of a woman that owned a doll store when she died. It is probably 4-5 years old, maybe a little older, and I have an id number of 566161. The doll is about 15", in a red box with "Kathe Kruse Puppen GmbH 885 Donauworth" on the end. It is new in it's box, was store stock and has never been sold.

Can anyone tell me how to find out what this doll is worth? Is there a way to date this by marks that may be on the doll? It did retail for $450.00, and the gentleman that is in control of the estate told me to sell the doll for no less than 15% above the $450, which would be $517.50. I really need to find out what this doll is worth.

Can anyone help?

Maybe you have already done this, but I did a search on ebay, and there were 17 Kathe
Kruse current auction, I didn't check the closed. That might be a start, to see if you happen to see your doll there if you haven't already.
