Well, I tried to upload gif's 2x and got some kind of URL ERROR message something about they don't accept gif format; e.g. cleardot.gif. A day or two ago there was no problem.
Thanks,
Cyn

nycyn,
Could you post that information over in the Auction Manager forum in Services?
The Customer Care Reps will be able to help you out. Try and give them as many details as you can.
Thanks,

Hi everybody,
Can you tell us if you are using Auction Manager, or our old image hosting system to launch your auctions? Also, are you selecting the Gallery option when you are listing? Please let us know, and we will look into this.
Thanks!

I'm using the "old". LIKE I said a day or two ago it was not an issue.

Hi nycyn,
I'm sorry this is happening to you - I'm still not clear, however, on when exactly you are getting these errors. Are you on our site? Also, please let us know if you are trying to post an image in the eBay Gallery, as they were having trouble with that process a couple of days ago.
Please post back with as much info as possible. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience!

I was just on eBay posting some auctions, and I noticed the Gallery section said that GIFs were not permitted as Gallery images -- only JPGs and something else I can't remember right now. Maybe that's the problem?

I use a bulk lister called Auction Submit, and two days ago there was some kind of error. Their website said that it was due to certain changes made at ebay, and they released an update today to make it compatible.
Perhaps those changes (whatever they are) are what is causing the problem here. AW should get on top of that.

There doesn't seem to be a way here to respond to people individually...
>>i cut the entry then pasted the actual image address in its pic url<<
Total Greek to me.<s>
It WAS the first time I actually tried to add something to the Gallery tho'. Maybe that's it?

Cyn, what was the name of the file you were trying to use as the Gallery image?
The file must be a picture in one of these formats: JPG, BMP, or TIF. GIF files won't work.

Cleardot.gif is just a MARKER to show that your listing has a PICTURE. On Ebay Category Pages, your Item Title will be preceded (or is it followed) by a Camera Icon. Do not put anything in that box. If you want a Gallery Picture, click on the down-arrow at end of Gallery URL box, and SELECT the picture to enter by clicking on it's name. The entire URL will then show in that box. (Of course, you have to have placed a CHECK MARK by the picture name on your uploaded picture AW control panel...otherwise, there won't be a pic in the gallery...
Edited to add: If you make a mistake about the Gallery Picture, you can fix it by going to:
http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?DisplayGalleryImagePage

Just for the record, this happened to me a week or two ago. I can't remember how, but I eventually worked my way around it.
