Here are a couple more Yahoo! PayDirect buttons for your eBay auctions:
edited to add, here's one with a more bevelled edge:

I think it would be wisest to concentrate on the payments you do accept and not on the ones you don't accept, but if this is the message you want to hit your buyer over the head with then go ahead.

Uaru, I would suggest the attitude that eBay sellers can't survive without Paypal is precisely the reason Paypal will succeed with their dishonest practices. Integrity is important to me. Paypal has lied from the start. Just a week ago their rep posted that no one would be "forced" to upgrade. Then they cut the legs off their "personal" accounts. How much abuse are you willing to take? I don't need Paypal and I won't use it. Yahoo is free, and Billpoint is more convenient.

"How much abuse are you willing to take?"
Well, I'm married, and I've worked for 3 large corporations so I'm well trained in taking abuse, and when to move on, and when not to sweat the small things. If I was upset with PayPal I'd not offer it, but I wouldn't advertise I didn't accept it... not when there's almost 4 million people that have subscribed to it.
I might not take American Express, but I don't see the advantage in putting a logo saying I don't accept American Express on the door. Do you?

Uaru, I agree with you and I apologize if I seemed to fly off the handle. No, I wouldn't advertise the fact that I DON'T accept Paypal, nor would I drag bidders through any kind of personal anti-Paypal vendetta.
What bugs me are the sellers who feel they are being held hostage, yet continue to use Paypal's services. Those folks are the ones effectively enabling Paypal. When Paypal changed the rules and accused me of "cheating" I closed the book on them. I only wish other sellers would grow a backbone. There are plenty of alternative services. PayDirect is free and Billpoint is more convenient.

When all of the turmoil started with paypal, I took the logo off my auction descriptions and out of my shipping cost email. Ten auctions closed at that time and 8 paid by paypal anyway. Even though I do not like it, I am not willing to bite off my nose to spite my face. I upgraded and after sitting down and looking at things rationally found that it is worth for me. (at least at this time) I may be dumb at times, but I am not stooopid.

Good Grief!!!
PayDirect is owned by CIBC---the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce---but you have to be USA resident to join. Don't that just frost ya.
Though I'm sure it gives Twinsoft the giggles on this.

Hi, Zazzie. Yes, I'm in convulsions.
'Just stopped by to say hi. I'm in the process of removing the PP links from my auction templates.
I'm glad the furor's dying down. Even without the funny stuff, Paypal now means a couple hundred bucks out of my pocket each month. PayDirect is free.
I logged on to the Paypal site and was confronted with the NEW RULES when I accessed my account. Then several buttons allowing me to upgrade. I had to look pretty hard to find the "do not upgrade" button. Hey, twist my arm a little, willya?

Good Grief is right! Aren't you Canadians weaned off of the British "Emprire"s tits yet? Does The Queen still tell you what to do? Good God -- when will the Canadians rise up and over-throw their English Overlords and Masters? You're all welcome to come down here into the lower continent: it may not be as nice a place, but at least you won't have to put up with monachical tyrants!

Huh???? Where does the Queen tits fit into this??? CIBC has nothing to do with England.
The only thing I'am surprised about is that PayDirect is OWNED by a Canadian Bank---but it closed to Canadians and only available to Americans. Maybe it the Yanks that should be worried about the weaning techniques

Those neat PayDirect buttons? Will they be live when I get them into my auction description? I want them to be a link where they can click and be taken to PayDirect. Thank you!

Okay, here you go. First you need to right click on the pictures of the button of your choosing above. Then save it and upload it to your own site. (I am assuming that twinsoft and I know that traceyg do not want you to link directly from their site). Then use the following code in your ad where you want the button to show up:
<a href="http://paydirect.yahoo.com/">Click here for Yahoo! PayDirect<img src="http://YOUR URL HERE"></a>
Where it says "Click here for Yahoo! PayDirect", you can put whatever you would like in there or just leave it out if you just want the button to show. Play around with it to see what looks best to you.
Enjoy...

Here's the code you can use to insert the button in your eBay ads. Clicking on the button (in your ad) will open a new browser window taking the user to Yahoo's PayDirect page.
<p align="center">
<a href="http://paydirect.yahoo.com" target="blank">
<img src="http://www.gratefuldad.com/ebay/shared/paydirect_button1.gif" border="0">
</a>
I'd recommend that you copy the image to your own server and modify the code. If you don't know how to do that, you can use the code as-is. Just copy the paragraph above and drop it in at the bottom of your item description.
There's no referral bonus for PayDirect.

Okay? When you are saying "copy the image to your own server" and "upload it to your own site" do you mean my picture hosting site? I use AuctionWatch to host my pictures. Or am I lost entirely?

We were talking about your web site if you have one.
I am not sure how to link to a picture that you have on AW unless you are attaching them when writing auctions. I am sure someone else knows though.
Of course, twinsoft is kindly allowing you to link directly to her site.
oops!

labbie1 and twinsoft, I uploaded the button picture to my AuctionWatch page. Then I inserted that picture url into the HTML that you gave me, labbie1. I then cut and pasted the combination into my default listing text on AW that automatically gets added on to my auction description each time.
I then opened up one of my pending auctions to see if it was there and Wah Lah! BUT then I tried it out. I clicked on the PayDirect button and it took me to the place in Yahoo where you have to enter your security key name. People won't want to go to that area. What did I do, any ideas?

kasue I think Yahoo changed the URL since we did it. I went back and check it. Try this one:
<a href="http://auctions.yahoo.com/phtml/auc/us/promo/paydirect.html">Click here for Yahoo! PayDirect<img src="http://YOUR URL
HERE"></a>
Sorry about that!
