I'm a seller on ebay but have won a few bids myself in the past few weeks. I've never had a seller not contact me before but that's the situation now. The auction ended on 10/1. One 10/3 I contacted the seller asking for confirmation of the amount owed and I provided my address, etc. Still no contact after 4 days. Do you think it's early to be concerned? Maybe the seller had an emergency but I always try to contact within 24 hours. Do you?

I wouldn't panic yet. The seller may have a problem and cant do anything about it yet.
I had a situation as a seller when I had a total computer crash. It took me a week to get up and running again.
I was lucky, I was able to borrow some time on a friends computor and make contact with people by using a free email service.
If this has happened to your seller they may not have any acccess to the web at all.
As it is, you haven't lost any money on this, just some pleasure in buying what you were after.
Bob, Downunder but never down.

About every other month I get a customer who I can not e-mail. I don't get a bounced notice that they are unreachable either. I have to pull their contact and have my wife call them.
Once I had a customer in New England that had a direct lightning strike on the house.
We had to finish by snail mail because both computers and the phones were destroyed and the replacements were all tied up in a big insurance battle.

My ISP was trying out an anti-spam program a while ago. Sometimes e-mails would bounce back, but not for several days, so I had no idea the customers were not getting my e-mails.
Also, I've had e-mail addresses with little things like periods in them that my e-mail program was dropping -- so the e-mails were not going through.
Thankfully, all of my buyers have had patience. As a rule, I like to have some contact with the buyer within seven days. If I hear no response to my original e-mail after a few days, I try to e-mail them from one of the free web-based e-mail programs.
