Well now I have seen it all. Free listing on ebay, if you want to list on one of the new international sites. I saw a ebay seller with over 30 pages of auctions, and many with no bids and high opening prices, wondered how this seller could afford to do this.

Listing is free on the Australian site, all you have to do is list there and, drive you US bidders nuts by accepting bids in Australian dollars. Ed

Edited to add that people were doing this on the UK site when it had free listings and I'm sure it can be done on the new French site as well.
