Sorry for screaming the heading of this but I am very frustrated at the moment. I am searching for a specific accessory for my camera and it is maddening. I looked at 2 items that had no dimensions in description, the height is a necessity for this item. Looked at one and all that was there was a picture, no TOS, no description, no shipping, nothing but the picture.

Sellers please, I do not have the time to email everyone of you for the basics and I need this item. I would have bid on any of these three items if it just had the info I needed.

I looked at 2 others and then they wanted me to click again to see the picture, no thank you.

I have the money to buy if someone has my item and tells me what they have!!!

On the other hand............... As a seller I wish BUYERS would READ the description before sending emails asking for the size, which is clearly stated in the first line of the description. Yes, from a newbie I understand, but not from someone with 700 feedback, like the one I received yesterday There, all vented, thanks for starting this thread

Touche! As a hobby seller, I agree. If you give me description, I promise to read it!

when I was a new seller I used to get emails asking for info I hadn't thought to list in my description...after a few of them I learned to put extra info into the descriptions. But I still forget things sometimes, things only collectors of that item are interested in.

So send a few of those emails and I think the sellers will start putting more info in.

But then there are always those that have a description something like...What you see is what you're bidding on, or - the picture tells the story (seems pretty lazy doesn't it?)

Please sellers, include the size (as in dimesnions of length, width and depth, where applicable.) It's impossible to tell the size of an item from the picture alone. I love pictures that include a ruler alongside the item! Eliminates a lot of guesswork. But having the size posted really makes it a lot easier for buyers.

There are times and places where you have to email sellers. Many sellers who have photographic merchandise do not know what they are selling and would not know what you need to know. Same is true of many specialized areas where the seller has no idea what an item is used for.

BTW even if a seller is knowledgeable, they may not have a clue as to what you are using an item for. However a good seller will take the time to answer a serious inquiry.

What really gets me are sellers of clothes who don't include measurements. I saw a nice dress today - they "estimate the size to be a 14 or 16". Or "the size is 3X but it's too small for me". What kind of description is that?!!??!?! Geez - and they wonder why they don't get any bids.

The reason I e-mail most sellers is to inquire about unstated shipping charges before bidding.

Most of the time, I find they are planning to mail the item via USPS Priority Mail and it is under 5 lbs, which means the shipping cost is the same price anywhere they ship in the U.S.

It would really be helpful if they would just add an extra line to their auction that said. "USPS Priority Mail shipping $3.20" or whatever it may be...

Even on the heavier items the sellers zip code and item weight could be given so the buyer could go over to the USPS site (or UPS site) and use their online calculator to find their shipping charges.

Maybe it's just me, but I want to know exactly how much I am going to be charged for shipping before I bid, and a vague, "buyer pays shipping", just isn't enough info. Quite a few of the auctions I browse through are pretty sparse with their shipping terms.
