Well since I can't list Sunday night...

What is your ratio between feedback left vs feedback received?

My current:

2575 Feedback Comments Left by *** (1422)

55%

Not great is it.

Okay, I'll bite, and reveal just how new to all this I am!

119 left
70 rec'd

58.8% ration. Not so hot either.

My experience has been about 60%, so ya'll are in line. I've received a little over 500 feedbacks from unique users (yes! broke the 500 mark!). The ratio was better, closer to 75-80% when I was newer. You're doing fine, a lot of people just don't even think to leave feedback. It's a big deal for us, but not for them.

Besides, as your feedback number gets higher, you may not want it to be TOO big, as some potential customers may assume you are too busy for them & won't give them great service.

62% on my main id

82% on the second, but the fb is low so people are far more prone to leave some.

Tonight I am at 880 and I have very rarely left any for buyers first. If they leave it for me or ask for it I do for sure. I would guess about 1 in 20 leaves it without asking or doing it for them first.

I never solicit feedback from fellow Ebayer's, yet:

Rating: 4170
Feedbacks left: 5439
Feedbacks recv'd: 4615

Positive: 4597
Negative: 8 (4 are NARU)
Neutral: 10 (9 are NARU)

Ratio of feedbacks left vs. recv'd:
(roughly) 7:6
OR
84%

Overall feedback: 448
Unique feedback: 425

Feedback left: 613

Ratio overall: 73%
Ratio unique: 69%

5 neutrals (4 from naru)
0 negatives

Not too bad - and I find as I get higher in the feedback, I worry less and less about it. I do like to leave feedback, especially to the newer users. I still remember what it was like to be less than "10" with sunglasses on!

Me bored also:
Main id:
571 positives
468 from unique users
781 left
59% (73% if you count all positives)

Secondary Id:
333 positives
275 from unique users
554 left
49% Boy that one sucks, but is 60% if you count all positives!

I have left 14,522 feedback comments.

I have only received 19 in return.

14 of those are NARU now.

I have 1 neg. It was left by my own mother.

My feedback rating is 4.

What am I doing wrong?

Well Jerry12 I think it's obvious, you should have been nicer to your mother.

I have 438 unique , I've left 498. The first 350 or so feedbacks were from buying. Since I started selling (I had to, I was spending a fortune), I do batch feedbacks once a month for any buyer who I haven't already swapped reciprocal feedbacks. Unless they took a month to pay or something like that. And I didn't feedback the seller who sold me a smelly sweater or the one who lied about exactly how many beads were missing from HER sweater.

I've left 221 positives, 2 negatives and 1 neutral.

On my second ID I have 5 positives from 3 unique users. I've left 5 positives.

I'm up late tonight. I thought I was doing well, but some of you are doing GREAT! I have 145 positive feedback (no negs) from unique users and 169 total. I have left 201 feedbacks. That's 72% or 84% depending on how you look at it. I usually email something like this when I receive payment:

Dear Customer:

We received your payment and have shipped your item to you today. Thank you very much for your purchase.

We have posted positive feedback for you on eBay. If you'd like to do the same when you receive your package, we have provided a link for you below:
(Auction feedback URL shown here)

This seems to be pretty effective and works well for me.

2,455 total
1,572 actual
11 neutrals / 6 from unregistered users (mostly left by myself)
2 negatives (one retaliatory from a not-so-great seller who I negged, one from a newbie buyer who made a typo in her PayPal payment and thought I didn't "claim" it - LOL!)

3,017 feedbacks left

Comes out to 81% feedback ratio.

I don't ask for feedback or send reminders or anything.

I gave up leaving feedback for folks once I got about 100. Now I only leave it when they leave me some. I used to leave it for them right when I sent the item out, which put me in a major blackmail situation if they wanted to raise trouble!

at the beginning of this year, the % of people who left feedback for me was about 70%. Right now it's at about 40%. i assume it's because there are more newbie buyers out there, and also more short-timers who don't care about the process of feedback---they just want their item. I don't sweat it. I leave feedback for 99 percent of my buyers and sellers, and they can do it or not, no biggie. I have enough.
