I notice when I scan pages of auctions I tend to COMPLETELY IGNORE those yellow highlited auctions.
(I think it stems from my old bookeeping reconciliation days in which the highlited items are 'cleared out' or matched with another debit/credit so they are considered a 'wash')
Here's hoping no old bookeepers are watching YOUR highlited items.

Glad to see I'm not the only one LOL! I also ignore any auctiosn with !!!L@@K!!! ~~~~WOW~~~~ etc. <P>Additionally, for some reason my eyes skip by the titles written in all caps... maybe it's because the caps make the title look longer or something!

I don't like it either. I also skip auctions with over three typos or auctions which ask me to read their aboutme page for auction terms. Both spell trouble to me.

Me too. I "noticed" my first one yesterday while browsing (I may have seen the highlites before yesterday but didn't really noticed).
I look at the descriptions myself. I don't use the gallery, the holidays and so on as a buyer nor as a seller. Even the "extras" are write offs as a business expense, I don't want eBay to have anymore money.
In my opinion all of the features are just ways to get mo' money.

I think that yellow thing should be used for those guys who pay $100 not for those who only pay $20 that's why it looks so crowded and soon you won't noctice who pays the extra, the ones who are in yellow or white.

I can't believe people were paying $5.00 for highlighter on low cost items. Where's the profit margin. It doesn't seem like they get any more bids.

5.00 seems way too extreme. Ebay struck gold on that one...(or so they thought).
I hope they come up with some more winners real soon!!
