the ground when I fell off of that turnip truck! I received the following e-mail and I wanted to share it with you. I am reading "CREDIT CARD SCAM" all over this thing!

***************
Hello,

I looked at your feedback profile on the EBay.com and think you can help me.
I live in Holland and selling accounting software. For now, I have some clients from USA, who want to buy software and will pay by Exchangepath.
I visited Exchangepath's web page and clearly understood that I can't register, because I'm non-US resident.
My offer: My clients will send money to your Exchangepath account. You withdraw money and wire transfer it to my offshore bank account in the XXXX Bank ( http://www.XXXX.com ). Your interest from a total amount is 10%
Total amount will be about $6000, maybe even more.
All transactions will appear within 3 (three) days.

If you're agree, please send me your confirmation and Exchangepath's account e-mail address.

********************

Keep an eye out folks! Happy auctioning!

Okay ladies and gentlemen, since this is a real threat and someone has already been hurt by this scam, I processed the e-mail and found that it is originating in Buffalo, NY. Does anyone have the e-mail or phone for the FBI? Or is someone around for OTWA who has been working on the one that actually stung that woman? Let me know here!

abacaxi Thanks. The address that you gave me is the ISP who is hosting ExchangePath's domain. I have been in touch with ExchangePath's risk management and they are in contact with the proper authorities in their area, which could include the FBI.

I hope to heck that little turd in Holland is not reading this stinking board!

Don't you understand that this money will be coming from stolen credit cards? You wont get to keep it, you will only be arrested as a crook. Do not get personally involved.

yisgood I am sure that abacaxi is just trying for some levity.

I know that you are involved at OTWA. Do you have any info on who the woman is that got scammed? Who is working on this?

Please send the info to me and I will contact them with my letter and headers. Perhaps they can use it in the case of the lady who was scammed.

Yisgood,

Okay, Thank you. I did not hear anything about this until I got the letter and posted it here. Then someone mentioned the OTWA and a person who was scammed. I am just trying to figure out how to get ahold of the OTWA.

Thanks for the info.

yisgood,

I'm sorry, but I had to delete your post because it contained a link to another message board which is not allowed per the AuctionWatch CGs. Please feel free to repost the information, just leave out the link.

As always, thanks for your cooperation.

labbie1, one of the cool things about the internet is "domain names." Like, you can type http://www.auctionwatch.com or www.ebay.com into the Location/Address box in your web browser and go there.

That's a broad hint to help you find OTWA.

Glenda Thanks! Of course, then you have the .org and .net and other dot coms.

Course, I have my e-mail turned on, so I did get the information from yisgood.

Thanks!
