1. They didn't get it because your ISP and their ISP are not talking to one another. Especially if one of the ISPs has been reluctant to cancel the accounts of spammers, either your email or their reply could have been dropped at the routernwith no error messages given either party. (it's polite to bounce with an explanation, but not all mail servers do it)
2. Your email got there, but the buyer deleted it unread because
... it had no subject line, and it looked like spam.
... the subject was !!!! YOU WON !!!! and it also looked like spam

I always send email to buyer with a auto reply back when opened this works to a point but even that requires they take the time and energy to click the yes button and since there takeing this energy it just as easy to click no but it is some insurance your email got to the nicer buyer who will take the time to click the yes on auto replys
many do some dont but varity is the spice of life. I have several different email accounts to cover as many of the bases as one actually can.
after all Im not begging for a bidder to pay they should be willing buyers .
Some sellers alledge that plenty of buyers never answer emails because they've been approached by a BOTTOM FEEDER, who has sold ALL the bidders on your auction the merchandise that you paid fees to list at eBay. That's why some sellers are using private auctions, but many bidders don't feel comfortable with that.

What's that auto reply feature and how does it work--I am assuming it doesn't work with AOL as they aren't compatible with anyone.

thanks for posting this abacaxi, I suspect you're right and it prompted me to change my template. Something other than YOU WON!

in the subject line, i always write, 'ebay/whatever the widget was'
i have a question for contemplation: i sold a pocket dragon two months ago and the bidder, with over 500 pos. fb, no negs, hasn't paid. numerous emails have not been answered. i filed a npb, and that's gone ignored. in a few days, i will file for fvf. why would a bidder with such an outstanding record fail to pay on an item of less than $10? any ideas?

The good bidder who doesn't reply may have had major computer crash, serious accident or major illness. There ARE times when we all may have legitimate reasons for not answering.
You were the winning bidder on the above listed item/s.
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE EOA (End of Auction) NOTIFICATION !!!!!
Payment is expected within 10 days of this notice.
Please email me your address so I can have your merchandise packaged and ready to ship the day payment is received. Failure to do so will result in at least a one day delay in shipment and possibly longer.
"Please remember to include the auction number with every payment."
If you have won more than one of my auctions please let me know so I can combine shipping and save you money on shipping cost.
I am not responsible for uninsured items in case of loss or damage. Insurance is at the sole discretion of the buyer for their protection.
Following is a summation of the item/s you have purchased.
I have tried several different ways to get the winner to respond and this one has worked very well for me. About 95 - 98% send an address within the first day if you get your EOA notification out right away.
Please note that I don't tell them what they owe until they have gone through what I want them to read.
