I had an auction close and sent the usual EOA. I get the mail back (earlier today) and the message says...XXXXX is not accepting mail from this sender...(meaning me??) Then it says, User unknown....(meaning them) So I go in to see if this person maybe changed their email addy, but no, right up until today, this person is bidding, and bidding strong, like over 200 auctions! Next thing I have to check is if they found the same item I have up for bid that they won, and got it cheaper so they refuse my mail so the auction will be null and void. I sent the entire returned message to Safe Harbor and nothing back yet. What do you think is going on?

Sometime this means that their ISP has blocked your ISP, usually due to spammers using your ISP. Go to your auction page and use the "E-mail this auction to a friend" link to send them an e-mail. This way the e-mail comes from eBay's server and it is unlikely that his ISP would have them blocked.

AOL sellers can have their e-mail set to just accept e-mail from within the AOL family and won't accept anything from outside of AOL.
It has happened to me several times with bidders. Find someone with AOL to send a message to them if the Ebay send this to a friend thing doesn't work.

This happened to me a few months ago. I sent a winning bidder notice (we are both aol users)- returned 'not accepting email from this addy' (or similar wording). The next day, she emails me requesting item information- I 'reply' and her email still comes back. the next day she sends yet another email nicely saying that she was going to request my user info from ebay so she could call me. She called the next day. As it turns out, she uses 'mail controls' to accept only certain emails, to which she said she entered my email address to accept. well, anyways, it turned out fine, but she technically had a 'non-working email addy', as it was not accepting my emails- against ebays rules. I understand her 'security' concern, but it hampers seller/bidder contact. I would suggest the 'user contact info' route for you, but technically they are not complying with the TOA if you can't contact them. Just thought that this situation may be similar. (but did you say they have bid on 200 things?!!-can't remember what # your post said!)
good luck!

AOL explains it!
I had a winner about a month ago and I received the same message. I pulled up the contact number and gave him a call. It turned out that it was an aol problem. I received my $45.00 and he received the package.
If I hadn't called I would have been out the money.
