Don't you think that maintenance should be done at off-peak times? Not Sunday evening when bidding used to be good!

What a load of you know what. I agree completely.
Why anyone would just throw hundreds if not millions of dollars down the crapper is beyond me.
Sunday has been THE best night to close auctions in a while. eBay just screwed up again!!!
Who in the world is making these decisions? Looks like they'll be looking for a job soon!

Ebay seems to never be able to really say what is happening. Most likely, it was emergency maintenance. I would cut them some slack because these things are bound to happen, but the way they write those posts up is a bit annoying. Everything is always under control.

Regarding - who is in charge of these decisions, and bet they will be looking for another job soon. Nahh, ebay promotes those people....

Hey if that's the case I'm perfect for a job that requires making stupid decisions! I decided to end my auctions during prime time on a Sunday, didn't I?

hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!
They are lying thru their teeth. Sunday is THE hot day to list and bid always has been. Preventing the system from total collapse after the initial partial collapse is more the truth.
It is not so good to be caught in so very many lies ebay.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeesh, like we are all mindless morons who will buy it?
This parrot I bought not 'alf and hour ago is dead! 'es not dead, 'es pining for the fjords

You had the "preventative maintenance" and
I just got "Ebay Australia is down", so I couldn't post my auction. I am in the US, posting for the US. I don't think it is
PM at all....looks like they ended up with
all systems screwed up tonight.
I was able to get the same auction through
to processing finally, but it just came up
"Error, query is empty."
I think I am done for the night.

Why don't they cut us some slack and extend auctions that were ending during their outage! I potentially lost at least $95 on one auction tonight, possibly more. This is very frustrating. Where can we send a complaint that will be heard?

Send it to God, at least there is a chance it will be heard.
I'd cut em some slack too if they weren't blowin smoke up an orafice and telling me it's golden fairy dust.

It looks like "preventive maintenance" is the new buzzword for "we screwed up in broad daylight, during the busiest period of the week, but we won't admit it." I think you'll find it in the eBay Doublespeak Dictionary right next to "we are working to resolve these issues..." (somebody forgot to feed the hampster).
