Well, phooey. It came back up for a couple of minutes (just long enough to survey the damage on my auctions that ended during the outage), but it's down again here in GA.

I had an auction with 1 bid, opening price of 9.99, then when it came back up, the item had 2 bids, closed, and it was still 9.99!
I shows that the bids were placed by the same person.
I don't know, I guess it is just a glitch.

Actually the normal, proper operating state for ebay is DOWN.
When it's up it's just a fluke... wait a few minutes...

I had 8 auctions end just minutes ago, and altho most received numerous snipes with seconds to go, according to the annoucement board, they are still down.

*** SYSTEM STATUS ***
The eBay system was unavailable for about one hour beginning at 17:26 PT and was available again at about 18:25 PT. However, we are still experiencing some intermittent availability with Seller Search.
In the last few days, we have had questions about our policy on downtimes. For more information, please go to: http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/png-extn.html
We also received questions about extending auctions during an unscheduled downtime. If we had gone back into the database to extend auctions, our total downtime would have been extended by at least another 30 minutes. Our primary goal will always be to bring the system up and to make the site available as soon as possible.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience that this downtime has caused. As always, we will continue to carefully monitor the system and will let you know of any further changes in its status.
