I am trying to publish using FrontPage 1.0 for Macintosh to a free website (Geocities, Tripod, Hypermart--tried them all). I can't get past the password--I keep getting the message that I need server authentication. Do you have any insight?

Glotten, there could be any number of reasons, because Front Page is so buggy. But If those servers do not have Front Page extensions installed you will not be able to use the publish function. Try using an FTP program, or whatever program those sites use to upload files. You may have to run a search to see which directory your Front Page saves those files to on your hard drive. Mine are in the WebShare directory. Try uploading directly from the saved files.
