There is not a day that goes by without some outage somewhere on Ebay or the entire system crashes. What's the matter with you people? Have you no pride at all? This is absolutely disgusting! No wonder Ebay's stock went into the toilet. No wonder folks like me are moving as fast as possible to other auction houses.
Your situation of daily outages is intolerable! You people should have enough pride to say that yourselves instead of letting this site deteriorate into a pile of junk!
It's become a joke!
Read your forums! The entire community is laughing at you idiots because you can't do your jobs properly.
Supspend me if you want to for this, I really don't care because I doubt if the site will be up enough for me to notice.
How sad!

Wow that letter was terrific. I think its a crime people are being robbed of their money. I too got fed up with eBay months ago, and moved to yahoo. I can tell you the CC verification has not hurt my business at all. Infact it hurt eBay more due to the deadbeats jumping ship. Yahoo for being a free service puts ebay to shame. I would love to see a news show doing a story on the corruption in eBay.

Well, well well. This, from the person who openly chastised others for 'taking up space' WHINING about Ebay on the DNF.

Here are a few of the ones I've sent over the last few days...
Can you please send me the DIRECT link to use to request (demand) credit
for all my fees for the past week? Your service CONTINUES to SUCK and is
absolutely inadequate AGAIN tonight.
The link you gave me leads me to a maze of questions, and I cannot find
an appropriate place to write.
If Ebay wanted to do the right thing, they'd refund everyone's fees for
the past week.
Thank you

This has been a very frustrating week because of the problems Ebay has
been having almost every night. I've wasted QUITE A BIT of time because
listing items has either been VERY slow or down at critical times. AND
I've lost QUITE A BIT of money because the site has been down at
critical times. I get a lot of last minute bids, and if Ebay goes down
around the times my auctions end, quite frankly, I'm screwed.
If you bill my account for any of my auctions last week, you
have a lot of nerve. Considering the level of service lately, Ebay
should be paying me!
I need to know if this is going to continue, because you're ruining the
business I've come to depend on for a very large part of my income. If
Ebay isn't going to do any better than they have lately, I can't
continue using the service. With the busy season approaching, I can't
help but be scared by what I'm seeing.
Please don't send me some kind of form letter reply. That would just be
insulting. You'd be adding insult to injury, as the expression goes.
I'm serious about not expecting to be charged for the last week. I don't
have time to list every auction and explain why I want credit for every
one. Maybe that's your policy, I don't know. But your poor service has
robbed me of enough of my time already.
Thank you for your time

The Seller Search, My eBay Seller tab, and
Bid History functions are temporarily
unavailable. All other My eBay functions
are working at the present time.
Engineering is working to resolve this
issue as quickly as possible.
We will let you know of any further changes
in status of the site.
Regards,
eBay
AGAIN??? Every night it's SOMETHING!!!! You people DO know how important
the Seller Search feature is, don't you?????????
You know, your terrible service is killing lots businesses, including
mine!
I HAVE TO KNOW if this is going to continue for the holiday season!!!!!
Thank you,

This is from your announcement board tonight:
We also received questions about extending auctions during an
unscheduled downtime.
If we had gone back into the database to
extend auctions, our total downtime would
have been extended by at least another 30
minutes. Our primary goal will always be
to bring the system up and to make the site
available as soon as possible.
HEY! EXTEND THE DOWNTIME BY 30 MINUTES THEN!!! YOU MUST REALIZE HOW
MUCH PEOPLE LOSE BY NOT HAVING THEIR AUCTIONS ONLINE WHEN THEY END!!!
YOU PEOPLE ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay this is what I have sent in the last few days.
Before I begin,I do not want a canned response to this complaint.I also
want the
reader to read the whole complaint not just part of it.Then as the norm
have you come
back with some totally unrelated answer.
THIS HAS GOT TO STOP I HAVE HAD ENOUGH.
As you can tell by the fact that I have this email address I am a
Powerseller on ebaY.Over the
last week it has become increasingly difficult for people to either bid
or list on ebaY.
I do this for a living as others do,it is my family's only source of
income so that when your
site is down it affects my ability to pay our bills.
I end my auctions in the evening which as of Tuesday,Thursday and
tonight all my auctions where
affected by site outages or slowness. Some of these nights the system was
in accessible for over
2 hours yet ebaY fails to acknowledge this and automatically extend
these auctions.
Also because of the fact that ebaY did not consider this too be a real
outage I cannot get my fees
back. However getting insertions fees back only does little to help
restore some of the lost income.
I use both featured and super-featured items at an additional expense
that are never refunded.
Case in point I ran a Dutch auction tonight it was listed in both
featured and super-featured categories
at a cost of 120.00.This ran 10 days from Thursday too Sunday.People
could not bid on at least
3 of those nights.Plus the last night tonight for at least 30 mins prior
to the auctions close people
could not bid either. How many bids did we loose ?.We have no way of
knowing but I am sure it was
some.If I am going to expect to pat 120.00 for an auction then I expect
it too run its course.
Will I get refunded this 120.00 no of course not but I think you should
refund all total listing fees
for all auctions that was affected by these outages.Approx. some
300.00,but as we know that will
never happen.
Why on earth would you do site maintenance on a Sunday evening during
prime time selling
how stupid are the people at ebaY.
I spend 15,000 a year in listing fees and expect to get a decent working
product for that,but
I have not been getting that for at least a week.
These outages can cost me hundreds of dollars in lost sales a day,and if
I cannot list items
then thousands of dollars a week.
How is it that Yahoo can keep their site up and running during the
stock market hours even though
that inf. changes every second on most of those stocks the site is
rarely if ever down.
I am getting sick of this inferior product that you are putting out, when
are we going to get value
for our money.
This is getting beyond a joke.
I wish their was a truly alternative site that wanted my money but gave
me value for money too.
THIS HAS GOT TO STOP IT HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH
Adrian
---------------------------------------------
Sometimes I wonder why I even list anymore as it seems that
ebaY either goes down within the last hour or two of my auction
listings or right as they are about to end once again affecting
bidding.
This site has been up and down this afternoon what on earth is
going on.
Also request for all fees refunded on the following auctions
that bidders where for a minimum of one hour and longer
in some cases where not able to bid on these items.Just prior
to their ending.
I am really getting fed up with this ongoing problem it
makes it difficult for all of us,especially those who rely
on it like myself as an income source.
I loose bids and that means I get less money,I cannot tell
the customers sorry I will not sell it too you as the bidding
was affected by ebaY incompetence. That's a good way to
get Naru'd.But I have to put up with this mess from ebaY.
So maybe by getting refunds on ALL FEES I can re-cuperate
some of my losses.
This is getting so out of hand of late I am seriously thinking of
quitting ebaY as a business and go back into the sales field.
---------------------------------------------
The time and dates of the outages where obtained through TAGNOTES
your times listed as down appear to be way off from theirs.
Please review your info regarding the 11th as this is the info I have
these problems did affect the ability to bid as how can people bid on
an item if the cannot find them through search, plus listing pages could
not
be accessed by bidders.
Though these where intermitent faults they still affected my ability to
sell
an item which ebaY SEEMS NO LONGER TO CARE ABOUT.
All they seem interested is in shafting it to the sellers and who cares
about what trouble these outages create for us.
