Hello, I am new to selling on ebay. Can anyone give me any pointers on the do's and don't's?
Also what is the best digital camera, that isn't too expensive to buy?

Your question is really broad. I would suggest looking around the threads here in the ebay outlook. There are many threads that can give you some good advise on selling at Ebay.
I use a Sony Digital Mavica Quick Access FD Drive 4x, 1.3 Mega Pixels Mpedmovie, but it's an expensive camera; it runs somewhere around $800-$1000. This is the only camera that I know anything about.

To follow up on kellyb1's suggestion, you can search for specific topics using the site search at the bottom of this page, and check the box to include Message Center in the search. Here's the link:

Kellyrj32, If you are really, really brave, you might post a link to one of your closed auctions and ask the others here to critique it. But I gotta warn you, this is not for the faint of heart. These people will tell it like it is!
As far as cameras go, I recently bought an Olympus Camedia D-360L at Wal-mart (about $300.00) and am very pleased with it. Whatever camera you decide on, make sure it takes good clear closeups.

The simplest thing is to just post the auction number here of any of your auctions that are over. If you know how to make it a link, that would be even better. The AW CG's really don't like you to use a current one since it looks like you're promoting your auctions here (a no-no).
Actually I did take a peek at your auctions and they look pretty good! You can use one of the ones you canceled if you want.
Good Luck!

Hi Kelly,
I looked at your auction and I have two suggestions. First, I'd like to say that I've never bought or sold shoes on ebay, but shoes are a very important part of my life! LOL
As a buyer, I'd want to know the shoe width and the heel height. I would also like to see pictures that show the side view and the bottom of the shoes. Pictures like that would help me judge the age and condition of the shoes.

Hello. Your auctions look good, I'll probably bid on them since they are my size.
Questions that come to mind, how much is shipping? It is always a good idea to know how a seller is going to ship an item and how much it will cost. Shipping charges will vary wildly, from free shipping to $7 for a pair of shoes, see any of my auctions for the TOS (terms of sale) that I have for my shipping. ALWAYS try and include these charges since INQUIRING POCKETS WANT TO KNOW. Also, do you combine items to save on shipping? Do you offer insurance? Do you take paypal?, Always nice to put email links in your auctions Other than that, you're well on your way to becoming a great seller. We have a bunch of great people here on the AW message boards, and in my experience, 99% have great ideas and constructive input. This is what makes the AW message boards the highest traffic boards on the net (or so they say)

Thanks so much for your help! I do appreciate it.
Also thanks for telling me how to send a URL in here. I am new to all this stuff.
Thanks again,
Kelly
There was a nice thread not long ago on digital cameras (with some pix included) which helped me decide on the Fujica MX1200, I think it is. $248 or so. For the money, looks like a real winner.
Thanks sooo much, and I honestly thought I put that in there, but I will go back and see. I charge actual shipping charges. Thanks for telling me this, I do really appreciate it!
Thanks Clever girl for telling me about the camera too! I will defintely look into it!

Hi Kelly, welcome to AW. These message boards use UBB code to create links.
[*url*]http://yourwebaddresshere[*/url*] makes a clickable link to a web page. Remove the **'s and leave no spaces.
[*img*]http://yourpictureurl[*/img*] to post a picture
[*email*]emailaddress.comhere[*/email*] makes an email link (that is correct isn't it folks?)
Edited to add, Kelly, just saying in your auction that you charge "actual shipping" is a tad vague for many buyers. It is best to actually put the price, like $3.20 Priority Shipping etc. Some sellers tack on handling charges as part of the "actual shipping." Being surprised by a padded shipping charge is a good way to get a neg or neutral.

I agree with the suggestions about shipping charges. I want to see an exact number, or I will not bid. Just saying "exact shipping" really is too vague. This could mean first class, book rate, priority, UPS, or ??? All these would vary quite a bit in actual shipping costs. I wouldn't want any last minute surprises.
