ebay has been experiencing complete shutdowns this week starting sunday evening and every evening especially during prime evening hours

for the week of 10/8/2000

sellers and buyers cannot log onto the site and
frustation is taking place
this isn't not a good sign for ebay
check the auctionwatch.com and ebay bulletin boards for the dismay,
frustation that has taken place

Ya know eboda, I don't think they care. The market is not about reality anymore, only thing that counts is momentum.
Today they pile into the stock, two weeks from now they dump. Little guy gets trounced.

Actually bad news is news, a brokerage house is liable to ignore if they are supporting a long position. Short sellers on the other hand would want to play up technical troubles and client relation problems.

Technical problems can mean lower earning as a company might have to spend more money on equipment upgrades, which will lower profits.

Unhappy clients can equal lower sales or even regulatory problems.

Why would any brokerage firm lend any credibility to an unsolicited e-mail full of misspelled words?

I think you're asleep at the wheel there!

Ebay just came out with a very good 3rd quarter report and the stock went from a low of 45 to 66 and is settling around 58 this afternoon as I speak.

I mean that was a good report for them anyway. Any one looking at P/E ratios still thinks it's overvalued.

Yep Deco, you hit it right on the nose. Disney is up too. Might be from the new Disney/Ebay auction site opening up.
