I haven't listed in over a week. Tonight, I started to list something with Auction Watch, and found that the old format, having the listing box and the Preview on the same page, were different.
I now had to create a listing the same way that Ebay makes us do: click back & forth in order to change the listing and view the resulting changes. Of course, I couldn't remember all the changes I needed to make, so had to click back & forth several times to finaly get the corrections made. And, of course, waaaiiitt for the pages to load each time.
Maybe I am in the minority, but this new format is much more difficult for me, and also more confusing.
I guess I am one of those that doesn't like drastic changes. I pretty much like thing as they are, and feel change should be gradual. And, I also think there should be some information, or instruction when changes are made.
When I decided to use AW, it was because I liked the way listings could be created. I liked the way that you cold scroll down the page, see the photos and the way everything would apear, then scrool back up, make the changes and then click review to see the all the changes. I like the convenience this afforded.

Am I wrong, or in the minority in thinking that the old way was better?
Or, did I click onto some other type of Auction Watch that I had never seen before?
Does anyone know how to get me back to the old way of listing? Or, did AW change this as an improvement?????
If AW has made these changes permanent, does anyone know of another listing service that wil provide much the same as AW's old way?
Thanks for the ear.

Actually I look at there new way of listing and I find its much easyer they have eliminated a few steps half the listing can be done on the frist step I think the add image still needs work but it seems easyer .

I've been at Woof!Woof! for a week now because I couldn't take the stress of AuctionMangler anymore! I've listed about 40 auctions so far, including many during the so-called "high-traffic" times -- the longest it has taken to post was 3 SECONDS!!!!!

I loved AW; but something broke in AuctionMangler back in August & it has gotten progressively worse ever since. This NEW & IMPROVED version is indicative of AW's direction!

Possibly some things are easier now, but wasn't it much easier when the box for listing was on the same page (so you could scroll down - see the mistreakes, then scroll back up to make the changes)?
With this changing back & forth from page to page (especially waitng for the pages to load) I forget some of the changes I wold like to make.
It's just too much trouble, and would just as soon go back to ebay's way of doing.

Even the loading of the pics takes much longer with this way.

I just noted your reference to the WooF WooF, and your other comments. I really don't understand woofwoof reference, and the meaning (but I get the gist that ou are unhappy with AW - as I guess I am as well).

If you are recommending another service that can do as AW did with the earlier format, I am interested in learning.
It took me some time to decide to use AW. Had been away from listings for several months. Once back, I checked out AW, and found them easy to use (until now).

BTW, I also emailed AW my displeasure with this change, but they have not replied as yet. And, of course, they don't work the same hours as I do, so I shouldn't expect a reply 'til Monday.

My problem is that i don't want to wait the weekend to begin listing again. I am not very adept at typing, etc., so, the feature that AW had with the old listing format suited me almost to a "T". I prefer that old way.

Can you advise another site?

PaperMemories: Woof!Woof! is my oblique reference to GOTO auctions. Their listing works just as EASY as AW used to! However, for now, listings have to be done one at a time & there is a 7000 character limit. That will soon change. The templates are clean & holiday topical too! Try it -- it's free like AuctionMangler : the difference is that IT WORKS!

I love the new way. Takes 1/2 the time to post auctions. Condensed two sheets into one. pics post quicker. Now with all of the things you can 'set' you key in very few items - most is already there for you = less listing time - more auctions up quicker.

The new format sucks. The Billpoint option doesn't work, some pic icons aren't showing up, "Seller Pays Shipping" as the shipping default, errors everywhere.

But, the pics are faster to add to your auctions. WoW

dman3 & boysmommy3:

As I said, maybe I am in the minority. I only list a few things once in a while. I don't do multiples of the same thing, etc.

One thing I do find is not as you say - the pics do not load faster onto the listing page. It takes tttiiimmmme for them to load just as it did with the earlier format. But with one difference, now they are not displayed in the Preview on the same page.

That is my problem with this new format. Both the listing box, and the view are not on the same page.
I cannot view the changes without clicking the Preview page, then after finding my errors, I have to click back to the listing page again. Then I make my changes, click the Preview again, find my mistreakes and click back again to make the changes.

After going through all this, how can the new format be better???

Thanks, I will check them out. I don't know what 7000 characters comes to, but guess I will find out.

I have a tendency to overdescribe my items. It causes me time doing a listing, but the bidder knows that what hw is biddng on is wat it is. Don't get any complaints or returns as a result.
So, I probably will go over that 7000.

Again, many thanks.

Papermemories--
I completely agree with you. I want the refresh button back too, so that I can also view and correct changes all at the same time on the same page. I certainly hope AW will listen, because this same complaint has been noted in the Auction Manager forum too, along with many other complaints about the NEW format.

Does anyone know how I can get my items on auction with WoofWoof? I have tried with AW for days with no luck.

Reddeer:

You are correct, Pic Icons are not showing up nor are the Gallery Images! This costs money and potential Bids!

Oh yeah, it will cost you double to list in 2 categories and twice as much if you are listing a gallery image! Looks like eBay has found yet another way to suck more money out of the sellers....

Question: I am unable to find any way to list my item in the gallery. Also, where does it say we'll now be charged twice as much for gallery listings? What I would REALLY like is a price of what each of these "extras" is costing me as I go through the listing process. I've lost track of what's free and what's being charged for!
