Okay folks there are two ways, that you can make sure that your regular customers can find your items.
1)This is very easy, just put a 2 letter keyword that is not common before your auctions. You do this with all auctions.
i.e.YQ Book on Horses,YQ Book on Pigs,YQ Book
on how to sell on ebay.
Do you get the idea, you may need to use 3 letters. But use something that does not make sense. Its what I do.That way I can still pull all my auctions. You may have to shorten your descriptions by a few letters but at least people can find you.
2)Second is create a gallery link in your listing that a customer can pull and access all your auctions by way of jpegs at one time.
But cannot recall how to do it,but I have it on all auctions.
I also noticed that with some of the features down,EBUD does not work either.
The problem with your idea is that there are only 26x26 possible combinations. 676 if you only use letters. If you add numbers then there are a total of 1296. So if you and 13 other peoople use this you have a 1% chance of a clash. If 100 people do it it's like a 7% chance you will clash.
Not to mention that space is very valueable. I have a hard enough time as it is getting my titles in 45 characters.
And it doesn't make your titles look very good. None the less it is a very easy quick solution. Just dont use my letters:

How about putting in your descritption to use ebay U.K. to pull up your auction by your user I.D. as this works when ebay U.S.A. does not!!

I use links to a description search to get buyers to look at my other auctions. A variation of preacher4u's personal gallery thing without the gallery.
Unaffected by the seller search difficulties of late.
Here is a closed auction that illustrates what I do.
I only have one auction currently running.
You know, since ebay is going to be screwed up for the next week or so anyway now might be a good time to experiment with Yahoo or some other site.

I found this tip on one of the other threads and it does work, I setup a me page, put in what I mostly sell and then added if paying by cc please check out the exchangepath site, added exchangepath link into favorite links, so if anyone clicks on the me icon on the auction they will see all my auctions that are listed, I can go into the me page for a quick check on listings without haveing to sign in.

Hello,
If you look under the catagory "lampwork beads" on ebay you will see a lot of sellers do this. I don't sell there, but I love to shop in that little "flea market."
Some good ideas. I might try one on.
