I came across this when going through some stuff that had been packed away. Would you list this as a necklace or beaded collar? I don't know much about vintage jewelry, so any tips would be appreciated. I do know this is at least 30-45 years old.
It's a collar, likely made in either Japan or Italy and dating from the 40's-50's. It looks as though it's missing a larger button or pearl on one side of the closure, though I can't be sure from your photo. I've seen quite a few of these on eBay. Check out the vintage clothing and accessories categories. They aren't very rare and usually go for $5-$10.
