Ok, I have a customer who is currently high bidder on 2 of my auctions.
They have a little over 200 feedbacks and have received 7 negs in the past 6 months.
When I go to the feedbacks they've LEFT, they've left over 18 NEGS.
When I view their responses to negs and the negs they leave for others, they are RUDE and obnoxious. They call others names in their feedbacks, such as deranged, arrogant, insatiable, nasty, rude, impatient <~~~just to name a few!
I do not feel like going through with 2 transactions with this customer. I sense trouble, just by looking at their feedbacks.
Should I cancel their bids now? Or wait right before the auctions end?

Tough call. On one hand, if you cancel now you can also send an email requesting that s/he not bid on anymore of your auctions (CC: Safe Harbor, of course) and do every other seller on eBay a favor by getting this person suspended if s/he does. On the other hand, by cancelling now, you'll have given them enough time to rebid on these auctions and possibly others at the last minute. They'd be voided and you'd be cleared to sell the the #2 bidder, if this person won, since you'd have a "no bids" request on file with Safe Harbor.

What's wrong with waiting a bit? Maybe they'll be outbid and it will save you the aggravation of having to cancel. If they're outbid though, you should then cancel their bid immediately, and tell them why in a professional manner; don't forget to cc:safeharbor. Be sure to cancel them though, even if they are outbid, otherwise they could come back at the end and snipe.

Thanks for the replies. On one of their feedbacks they said something like "waited all day to make sure I won & item was teeny-weeny". Yes, it was a NEG they left. I can just see them sitting at the computer all day just to make sure they win my items.
I don't think there's a good answer on this one. I have a feeling it's not going to be pleasant no matter what I do.

If you are going to cancel bids, do it immediately. If you wait, when you do cancel, the high bid will drop and sometimes drastically.
