Does anyone use TIAS as a Web site base for their items and do you get much sales from it.
I have watched this site develope in the last 12 months and like what I see.So I have decided to move my items on the web site to theirs.Looks much better and easier too.
I am thinking of even have them host my domain name as well

The Internet Antique Shop is a great site! Terrific management and good exposure, lots of traffic.
Another really good site is Ruby Lane. You might want to check if TIAS listings are included in the AW Universal Search. I believe Ruby Lane items are, but I'm not all that clear on how this works.
Edited to add urls in case others are considering the same thing.

Imabrit, this is the second thread by you today that I considered nothing more than a spam attempt to promote other sites, but after looking at the links Anniejean posted I like the sites as nice shopping alternative to ebay.
Thanks. (I think)

I just poked around TIAS a bit. In the areas I looked (that I also sell in) they are asking very good prices for their merchandise. But, unlike eBay, I can see no way to check closed auctions (sales) to see if anybody ever pays those prices! That would be the major question for me as a seller. If I were able to get 10-20x what I am currently getting for my merchandise, on a regular basis, I'd switch in a minute--at least the collectibles I sell.
Does anybody have any experience with actually selling on this site, and do you get the very high prices that I see advertised?

Powerhouse
Cannot even ask about a site that I am thinking of doing business with ,without someone think I am spamming a site.
Give me a break, with all the sellers on Tias of what point is there for me to spam a site that at this point I have nothing to do with.
Plus you have no idea what I sell so does not do me any good either unless I point you too my site.
All I wanted to know is does anyone do any business through the site and it is worth messing with that's all.
On the other one I posted I started a thread comparing sales between ebaY and Yahoo and that ebaY was doing great but Yahoo not.
However in the last 3 or 4 days I have seen that change where I am getting sales of Yahoo and I was just apologising to those who had said they did well with it and just keep trying.
I have no investment or money in any site but I want to know people's experiences good and bad with either.
Thats all.
Tell you what I am done posting to AW you will never hear another thread or nothing from me ever again.

Adrian, relax.
It was just an opinion.
You want to appologise to the YaHoos? Then do it in the Yahoo area.
They do have an area at AW to discuss other sites, but that doesn't seem to make a dent in all the other-site babble around the ebay area.
And I did thank you for bringing the alternate site to my attention since I had never heard of it.
Have a nice day and I hope that you are not so thin skinned as to allow one persons opinion to drive you away from a site you enjoy. I usually am on the same frequency as you.
Cheers.

IMHO Tias is a pathetic joke. The majority of the items I've looked at over the past year are WAY overpriced & sit there until moss grows on them, or they move them to eBay with a "realistic" selling price.
