About 6 weeks ago, I bid in 2 auctions and won them at around $20 apiece. Now the seller is suspended (or deleted), and I never received the items.
I emailed the seller more than 10 times; he said he had shipped the items but it's very clear that my money is out.
I'm just wondering is there any way that I can get some kind of refund from eBay? I tried to send an Insurance Claim Form but fould that won't help because there is $25 deduction on any item...which mean I will receive -$5 if I want to claim a refund.
I don't know what to do and I don't think eBay can help me with this. Is there anything elso I can try? Please help. Thanks.

The same thing happened to us, but for a considerably larger amount. We checked and double checked every avenue we could find. The best help we found as at this link: http://www.mindspring.com/~bookdealers/ripoff.html
There is the nicest people who put this link up. It sure helped (we hope) us a bunch!! We have still not received any refund, but we are trying and have reported the offender to every agency we can find!
Good luck to you with this info!

Report this offender right here. Right Now. We are all buyers from time to time. What is his email address, where does he/she live,
what was there feedback. Give us all that you can, if you say you are reporting this person everywhere.

jacklin: You could try calling the police department or district attorney in the guy's home town. I know of at least a couple of cases where this has had positive results.
Also, complete the Fraud Report portion of the complaint with eBay. (The $25 thing is only for insurance claims; you can and should file a fraud report for any amount.) That way, the person will be on record with them and they will be able to assist the police if it becomes an investigation involving more people than just you.

I had this happen to me and had to make a lot of calls before I found out the proper procedure. A police station of the residence of the seller will not take your complaint. You have to go through YOUR police station in your community first, file a complaint and THEY contact the police department of the seller. Hope that helps. My police department had to send an officer to my house to take the report.

First off, you can file a single claim for all items from one seller, and if memory serves me, the $25 deductible is applied to the total amount. Second, if you paid by credit card, contact your card company about a chargeback. If you paid via PayPal, contact them for a fraud claim. If you paid by US mail (check or MO), then you can file mail fraud charges. Here's another website with some great info:
