Hello all,

I'm frustrated with eBay's search engine. If you collect souvenirs from Cape Cod, for example, and you enter a search for "Cape Cod," eBay's search engine looks not only at item titles and descriptions, but also the location as well. So in addition to Cape Cod souvenirs, the search also pulls up every item being sold by anyone who enters "Cape Cod" as his or her location.

Am I the only person frustrated by this? I've e-mailed eBay suggesting that a general search not look at the location, but I'm only one voice.

It's been my experience that Search doesn't look at the location (unless you have made a choice in the Item Location search box as well). More likely, the seller has put their address in the body of the description - I do a daily search for postcards from my hometown, and always end up with lots of auctions for software, because there are a couple of software/computer hardware sellers who include their office address in the body of the auction.
