I'm wondering about the links policy. eBay's links policy, if I'm not mistaken, says that a seller can't link to a site selling the same merchandise at same or lower price.
So, does this mean that if a seller is selling some item, let's say a book or CD, he can link over to Amazon's site instead of providing a full description, given that Amazon is selling the item at a higher price (and assuming the bids are not going to go higher than the Amazon price)?
I've noticed some sellers that just give a barebones description and then link over to Amazon, CDNow, or some other site that has a picture and a fuller description (publication, tracklisting, etc.) of the item. Is this OK by the rules? I would think eBay wouldn't want links to the competition regardless of price.

As I read the latest & greatest rules from ebay, you can link to your website where there's more "information" but they don't allow linkages to competing sites. You can check out the actual language here:

Nope they dont allow this I even tried useing auctia showcase links in my yahoo and ebay auction and got notice from safehabor it was against there rules I can use auctiva link but can only show ebay auctions.
they didnt close my listings but told me I would have to set up my autiva account to hide my yahoo sales. http://www.Dman-N-Company.com
