Hi,
I have been selling on eBay, for quite awhile now. I have pretty much mastered it all, for the exception of which day of the week to start and close my auctions. I mostly sell childrens and ladies clothes, with some toys. This has baffled me, and maybe you can help? I also am in the Northeast. Thanks for your time!

I'm on the West Coast and have discovered that the best closing times are weekdays between noon and 3pm (EST). Many, many people use access the Internet and eBay auctions from work, so closing during prime working hours across the US makes sure they can all bid in the final hours.

I also plan to close higher ticket items on the 1st and the 15th, typical pay days.

I still like the Sunday night idea....but with e-bay's outages and s-l-o-w service during peak times, I was missing out on a lot of sniping. I've gone to listing my auctions to end between 4-7 pm, rather than 7-10 pm. I find I can list a little later on the weekdays as those nights don't seem to have as big of a problem as Sundays. It may be a little inconvenient, but not as inconvenient as not being able to even reach the auction to bid!
