Or should I say, does my computer have one?
My SIL just informed me that for every e-mail I have sent her, she gets one after it full of gibberish, like this...

I doubt that's a virus, are you sending them as plain text? Some email services can't handle formatted email. Try sending one to an alternate email address. Use Yahoo or Hotmail--you should have an alternate email address to use in case there are problems.

Yes, I am using plain text - no html! So I can't figure it out! One garbage e-mail sent for every normal one I send.
And yes - I sent a test e-mail to my hotmail account, and it did the same thing. My test e-mail went, and then there was another e-mail from my address that was just junk. So it isn't just her ISP - it is to everyone I am sending mail to!

Did you run a virus scan on your system?
It's really a wise move to run scans regularly, as well as updating your AV program. We check ours and update weekly since we got hit with one earlier this year.

This sounds like a problem with your outgoing mail server, your email program, or hiccups on your ISP's side.
What program do you use for your email, and who do you use for your ISP? How long has this been happening, and have you called the tech support folks at your ISP?
