I got an email from paypal saying one of my bidder's paid by paypal - but the funds are not in the paypal account last I checked.
Does anyone know if this has occured before and if so, is it a glitch or what is the problem?

No 1 problem reported. The person entered your email address a little bit wrong. Your ISP was able to match it to you so you got the letter but paypal wasnt able to. Check the email. it probably tells you to sign up for a paypal account in order to collect. If you can figure out the mistake, you can add the misspelled email to your pp account. if not, tell the person to cancel the payment and re-send.

Thank you - I will eamil and tell them to resend if they can! I have a feeling I know what happened with my email as sometimes people put in the mail.net and it's not needed!

I fixed it and had THREE payments not posted from before - I had no clue they had not gotten into my account - thanks for your help! I had no idea! I added my email the way it appears on my outgoing emails too so that either one will be ok!
