After nearly a week of the doldrums, bids have been coming in steadily for the last 48 hours or so! I needed it too.
The snipers have been busy at work as well and things are bringing decent prices. Example: I just got 27.00 for an item that I've never managed to get more than 9.95 for (I've ran a few of this item before and each one brought only my opening bid).
Getting lots of daytime bids so I'm thinking daytime is alright for ending times. I've always tried to have most things end in the evening, now I'm wondering what for?

GOOD TO HEAR! I find that the Christmas sales are going great, but as to when to have auctions end, it is a crap shoot in MHO. There are so many people out there with so many different schedules, that they are on at all hours. The ones who bid before work, during work, stay at homes who bid any time, people who can't sleep so they are out *shopping* in the middle of the night, waiting to pounce while everyone else is sleeping, or the smart ones that really want the item, so they put in a huge proxy. I think the catagory makes the most difference if something sells or not. I listed 24 things and 4 never got a bid. Relisted and changed the catagory only, and bam! All sold for 4-5 times what I paid for the dang things. Go figure!

count me in on an upturn in the past 24 hours. The past week has been dreadful, but suddenly most of my things have bids and some are higher than I expected with several days still to go.
Best thing so far is the fact that I found a HUGE bag of yarn at a local estate sale for ten dollars. Opened it up and found skein after perfect skein of fabulous wool and silk hand-dyed yarns, in luscious colors. I decided to keep the majority of them but put up a large lot of fairly ordinary wool/poly yarn in a color I can't use. That lot is now closing in on double what I paid for the whole batch! Wonders never cease. And on a good day, Ebay is still better than chocolate.
