Taking a well-deserved mental health day yesterday, I was surfing around the channels, and on NorthWest Cable News (OR, WA, and ID), I saw the funniest thing.
I only caught the tail-end of it, but it was an eBay Ambassador doing an interview. Cute chubby guy with white hair (Santa?) wearing and eBay baseball-type cap talking about eBay.
But what had me screaming with laughter was (and I know from the posts here, a lot of you will appreciate this) when the gentleman in question explained that eBay was easy to use (so far ok) and that if all else failed, you could email customer support and get your question answered within a day. "We have really great people working in support!"

That's Griff, who was one of the first 25 or so employees at eBay. At one point, he was a Customer Service Rep, then was in charge of training them. He is a cool guy - I've met him in person. (I've also met many of the CSR's, and they really do try hard.)

Oh yeah - Griff is just ducky - it is Dale that is the @#$%%# or is it Aunt Flossie that is the @#$%%^$ or wait maybe it is Jim that is the @)#@$%^ - sheesh I just can't keep track of which of the multiple personalities is nice and which is the prevaricator extrodinaire!
And then we can talk about the wonderful CS training job he did at ebaY, when he moved to that job ... glad to see they found something for him to do that utilizes his "skills" -Rosalinda
