Hi...

I started using the sniper feature of an eBay related software (The Oracle) a year or so ago. Sniping auctions worked great, then eBay made some changes and the snipe feature was never very consistent. Since then I have tried another program (can't remember the name), but it often didn't get my bid in. It has been frustrating to see an auction close at a price I was willing to exceed.

I'd like to know what other people are using and how well it works.

thanks,
lighthaus

I guess nobody wants to tell their sniping software secrets. I have used e-snipe. But with ebay's recent daily slowdowns, it sometimes misses the end of the auction. I have had success by setting it for over 60 seconds, though.

Hi, I used to use esnipe with great success but they are selling it off and several people have posted to this board that esnipe has "dropped the ball" for their bids....someone else mentioned the vrane site....www.vrane.com....so I signed up for them today and placed my first bid that ends tomorrow....I was VERY impressed with the site and all the features.....and have heard great things about it.....hope it works....

I've seen people complaining for months about esnipe. For years I've used Merlin from www.pctechzone.com and it has never failed except for when ebay makes a change. It is a full auction suite, not just a snipe, and it is constantly updated.

Has anyone tried out the AutoBid feature of AuctionTamer? I would be curious to know if it works well.

Who needs software, just set the alarm.

Sometimes I'm at work and the auction closes.
I agree, it's a lot more fun to do it manually.
Let's see if I can come as close

SNIPING SOFTWARE IS DEAD!

At least, it is for all of my auctions.

That's because I have a Buy It Now! price equal to the Starting Bid on each of my auctions. Therefore, if you really, really, want that item, don't wait to Snipe 'cause there won't be an auction for ya to Snipe!

Borillar- Sounds similar to the features that Amazon had on over a year ago, that ebay just figure out! Worked well for me during the holidays on Amazon too.
