I have soooooo much trouble relisting on ebay! Especially tonight but it is a common occurance with me. It starts okay then you get that "empty" unconnected looking screen that you try to reload then you get the input error screen from Ebay even though you didn't change anything in the listing. Am I doing something wrong??? Such a pain!

The last few times I tried to relist, I got absolutely nowhere. I get the page asking if I want to use eBay's picture hosting service (I don't), but the page never completely downloads, and the pop-up window (ipix, I think) popped up 5 times the last time I tried relisting. I clicked NO on the window, but in a minute or so it would come back.

I finally gave up. Maybe that is what they WANT us to do, hoping we will list it again and pay as usual.

There have been a lot of complaints on some of the eBay boards about the relisting problems, but so far it seems nothing has been done.

See that's what I mean. I really do think it is ebay...but it seems when I relist through AW it works for them sometimes and I wonder what the difference is. I actually do give up and start completely new auctions which is really unfair to have to pay when the relist is a freebee. If an auction sells and item is sold...you can still go to that auction to relist the same auction for another unit right. You just get charged for it right??? I have been relisting items this way for years but now I am wondering if Ebay doesn't like you to use this short cut.

It's not Ebay. I can mass relist through auction watch and through Power relister by VRANE. It seems to be internet explorer. Switched to Netscape Navigator and now I have NO problems relisting or revising individually through ebay.

I agree that much of the relisting problems are due to Internet Explorer. (Actually, they're due to Ebay's javascript not being compatible with both browsers, I think.)

Anyway, I haven't been able to successfully relist with IE for months now. I just switch over to Netscape and the problem is solved.

However, unless you need to revise the text of your auction, it's MUCH easier to relist through Vrane.com.

Everyone who is saying "it is not ebay" are WRONG ! Not only have I experienced this problem trying to relist, I have encountered some other major faults on ebay lately. Sure the relist pages on ebay are screwed up, but have any of you even noticed the missing auctions on your my ebay page or your seller's page ????? If you have been strictly using AW to manage your auctions you might not have noticed it. AW keeps track of your auctions whether or not ebay's seller's list do or don't ! Check your auctions and see if any auctions are missing, I am sure you will be surprised (as I had 6 missing on my list this week !).

Batcats!!!!

I thank you a million times for that great tip about using VRANE! I had downloaded it a long time ago and never checked it out - I, too have had major problems relisting items for a few weeks - sometimes it would take as long as 10 minutes just to list one item! I tried VRANE relisting and it went zip zip zip! I could not believe it! I relisted about 40 items in seconds!!!!!

Thank you again!

I agree it is not ebay. I had problems every single time without fail until I stopped using AW templates and just started using the blank template. Have not had a problem ever since. Sometimes I would just give up it took so long.

Let me add my voice to the Netscape switchers. I can no longer EVER relist using Explorer, but with Netscape, it works every time.

Could someone please explain to a computer illiterate how to switch between IE and Netscape?

If you don't already have Netscape on your computer, go to http://www.netscape.com and click on download, then follow the instructions.

It will install the latest version of Netscape.

However, I would highly recommend backing up any important data before installing this (or any other) software.

LivnLovnLaffn,

They don't mean physcially switch, they mean use Netscape instead of IE to do relists.

You can have both browsers up at one time just by minimizing one which using the other. When you want to use the other one, just click it up from the start bar (gray box at the bottom which has a box for each one of the programs you currently have running on your desktop).

By minimizing & maximizing, you can "toggle" back & forth between IE & NS. If you want to split your screen or adjust the sides, you can literally have both up at the same time on your desktop but that's for another day.
