A customer sent me the following. Do people really have to give bank information in order to pay me by credit card?
"I'm the winner of the subject auction. I'd be pleased to pay by credit card (you have a Visa/MC logo on the page for this item.)
If your credit card processing is via only via paypal, be advised that they rarely take credit cards there. It appears it's a come-on to get you used to using it and then they require bank deposits as there's more money in that for them. They do a lot of advertising that I'd call 'false advertising' and I usually pass by auctions that emphasize paypal.
So if you take credit cards, please leave me a number to call. Otherwise, please provide an address to send a check to. Thank you.
I'd pay by paypal but they don't really take credit cards beyond a short intro offer. Then they want online access to your bank account for all future business. No thanks. If you REALLY want a credit card transaction please provide a valid way to use a credit card. Otherwise I'll send a check."
Avoiding paypal auctions...this is just Great!.. What is going on over there?

Sounds like your customer reached his PayPal spending limit. After you reach that you do have to verify your account.
