Wondering if the 3 days prior to Thanksgiving have a history of being slowish in sales and bids because of everyone preparing and/or traveling for T-Day as opposed to the 3 days after when folks really start thinking about buying presents, - or is the whole week really good? Not being on eBay last year, I don't know what to expect.

I'm starting auctions all this week, through the weekend, so that they end the weekend of the 1st and beyond.... At least people will see them during the Thanksgiving holidays, but I don't risk them ending during that time... just in case not everyone can look.

I have mine stopping on the 22nd and scheduled to start new ones the evening of the 24th. //figured people will be saying goodbye to guests and chomping at the bit to get back to Christmas Shopping! (off topic a bit kiriaki? That is Greek for Sunday is it not? nice)

Some of my best sales come around the holidays. I'm putting a number of things up today for 7-day auctions. That way, everybody will be able to see them over the long weekend, but still be home on Tuesday when they end so that business can be done. Christmas is particularly good (better than turkey day) for this--people are bored and have money to spend. Since we sell primarily china, the holidays are especially good because people break pieces and need to replace them or they realize that they are lacking a platter, gravy boat, etc.

We don't do anything different, once the season opens we keep all auctions up and running - although it has been our experience that holidays are slower - but particularly on Yahoo, we have too many auctions running to take them down and repost.
We have been getting heavy buying on both Yahoo and eBay this week.
