Hi Ashley,
Looks like a pretty good picture to me (nice shirt, too!). Looks like black and yellow to me.
I don't think there's any way to "avoid color blind bidders" as everyone has their monitors adjusted differently. When I go over to my parents' house and visit my own website I am always horrified because the colors appear pastel - they are actually very vivid - because they have the brightness turned down so low on their monitor.
I think that if the exact shade is very important, the bidder should contact you before bidding to clarify what color the item actually is. Even there you get into trouble because one "bright green" to one person could mean "kelly green" or "hunter green" to another.
Good luck!

The colors I see are: Hunter Green, Navy Blue and Yellow (warm).
Is someone complaining that the colors are off? I don't see a problem with it. Nice wind shirt too. Perhaps describing the colors in the description will be helpful?

Hi Ashley:
I just checked your picture on eBay. The colors of the shirt (on my monitor) are dark blue, hunter green and pale yellow. Am I close?

I also see navy, hunter green and a strong medium yellow. Is your seller giving you a hard time? How about pointing him to this thread so he can see that almost everyone sees the green?

I'M EXCHANGING THE WINDSHIRT FOR THE WINNING BIDDER.I OFFER A 100% REFUND FOR ANY REASON SO I GUESS THE COLOR THING IS NOT THAT IMPORTANT. IT WAS THE ATTITUDE IN HIS E-MAIL. "THE WRONG WINDSHIRT" "I HATE ANYTHING GREEN" "WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT" ETC.THAT MADE ME A LITTLE UPSET. AGAIN THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP. ASHLEY

In 5 years I have had this happen only twice, and since I have done thousands of auctions, I am sure it has to be either the browser the buyer is using, or the way they have colors set on their own computer - neither of which is your problem.
Most folks, like myself, who have a large web site run both Internet Explorer and Netscape to check colors etc., since Netscape does occasionally distort a color because Netscape doesn't run as large a spectrum of color as Internet Explorer.
Be that as it may, your colors are clear and evident as to what they are. This sounds more like buyer regret and an excuse as these are basic colors in the color spectrum and the green is green whether on Netscape or Internet Explorer.
In these situations, personally I do a refund, because I have had so few, but I don't feel you should feel obligated to. Your buyer is just one of those pains in the derrière and you most likely couldn't satisfy them one way or the other.
That is one thing I LOVE about the Yahoo format you can blacklist idiots like this and they can never bid in your auctions again.
Have a Great Thanksgiving!

I could make out the yellow and the green. But, it took a few seconds. Generally if I am considering bidding on a piece of clothing and I am not sure about the color, I will e-mail the seller and ask them what the color is.

The picture shows up at black and yellow on my monitor. I am viewing it via Explorer. Are those of you seeing other colors using Netscape or Opera?

Hi,
I am using IE. Your shirt looked black with bright gold on my monitor. No hint of green.
I checked out some of your active auctions. What you call "dark navy" in some of your titles, I see as a wine color. On one of your actives you listed the item as a twilight (I think?) blue, I saw a light wine color with dark burgundy collar and cuffs.
Nice shirts!

Just tried it with Netscape and got the same
thing. I think if I ever buy clothing or something where color is important I will rely on the seller's color description, not my monitor!

let me see.... (switches into the artist mode)
on my monitor, the colors are navy blue, kelly green, and pale butter yellow.
according to the tag attached to the item, it appears to me it was the proper color.
it's just a little dark towards the bottom of the photo.
no, your photo's looks good to me
it sounds like to me that the buyer had the monitor color wrong or has some form of color blindness (sees everything in green and red).

I have checked your photos from two different computers and two different monitors, and I have viewed them with IE and Netscape. Your colors look great on all of my views and I get the same results as last evening. I looked at a few of your other auctions and the pics and colors look great.

We just adjusted my screen to see what made a difference. I was able to see the shirt as a hunter green, navy collar, cuffs and yellow band this time. But, the screen is so bright for everything else it is hard to see.
AW looks very washed out...light pastels, instead of bright colors mostly.
Thanks for the thread....

Just checked the picture using Netscape and
the pictures are exactly the same. The
differences in color must be related to
moniter variables.

I'm seeing Hunter Green, light yellow but the navy looks like it has more of a purple tint into the color. There's definitely some jpeg artifact in the blue. Some areas seem to show as navy others seem to be tinted into the purple range a bit.
It looks the same on IE and Netscape here. FWIW, I'm using an NEC 17" flat-screen monitor on which I have painstakingly gone through a color matching process to try to keep colors as accurate as possible.
Overall the quality of the picture is outstanding. I wish more people would take lessons from you.
My only constructive criticism is that, for a piece of clothing, you eliminated the cuffs on the item. I guess that could potentially make a difference to someone. I am able to see the beginning of gathers so I'm guessing elastic cuffs but if someone were looking for straight cuffs they'd have to ask.

Harder: when I first looked at this picture, my monitor showed a maroon shirt with yellow strips around the upper sleeve. I've played a bit with the color on my monitor & the best I can get is a shirt with a very dark green body, yellow stripe around upper arm, and a maroon collar and maroon lower sleeve. Which is discouraging as your description says this shirt is green/navy/yellow!

The first shirt is dark green, with a navy or black collar and bright yellow and black on the sleeves.
The second one has a dark green body, maroon collar and the sleeves are green, maroon and bright yellow.
I'm using Netscape and as far as I know, I'm not color blind
Your description says green/navy/yellow.

Good Thread!
I saw dark green & yellow color now with this new number, but get wine/maroon for the third color that you say should be
navy. I have tried other combinations on my monitor but still come up with maroon instead of navy!
Would some of you also check HARDER's #1101540600 and see what color you get? This is the one mentioned above listed as Twi-light blue. With all my adjusting I am still getting a stone-washed look light wine/maroon color with darker collar/cuffs in the same color. I don't know what twilight blue is, but my daughter thinks it is a blue close to purple.
Hope you don't mind HARDER!

The first one appeared as you described with the green.
The second one looks like it has maroon on the sleeves.
The third one looks dove grey on my monitor.
