I have a highbidder from Japan that would like to use Bidpay. I do take credit cards as stated in my TOS...most international bidders will email their card information in several emails and some have even called me.

For anyone that has been on the seller side of Bidpay how does it work? Id Bidpay reliable?

Any help would be appreciated.

I've been using Bidpay for probably a year now, if not longer and have had NO problems with them whatsoever. All your customer does is pay for a money order with their credit card - all you get is the money order in the mail! (A Western Union MO). Bidpay is WONDERFUL for international transactions.

However, today I received 3 BIDPAY MO's in the mail and they were ALL from buyers here in the US. I don't get it - they'd rather pay $5 for a MO than pay for free with their credit card online! (PayDirect, Exchangepath, etc).

I've used BidPay, too and have been very happy with it.

You receive TWO e-mails from BidPay -- one when your buyer places the order, the second when the credit card has been approved and the money order is on its way to you.

Don't ship until you receive the second e-mail.
Your money order will arrive shortly after.

GREAT!

Thanks for the help.

I won't ship the item until the second email arrives.

I wouldn't (and don't) ship until I actually receive the MO in the mail - but that's just my opinion...

If you live in the US, your MO via BidPay should arrive in 3-5 days. It takes 7 days for them to reach me in Canada.

I always ship the same day I get the second email confirmation from BidPay.

FYI - They send a Western Union MO.

I use Bid Pay with no problems. I would not accept an International CC via email though. Too many open loopholes there for them to bow out after the items have been shipped. Too risky for me.

I have used it with no problems at all. I ship upon receipt of the *second* confirmation email fron BidPay. The Western Union MO arrives, for me, about 5-7 days after the transaction.

I have had several buyers use BidPay. It is wonderful!

I know buyers have to pay a small fee, but for sellers I think BidPay is the best of the best of all online payment options out there.

Payment arrives very quickly, there is an excellent receipt with item number and buyers info, etc. I don't have one bad thing to say about them. Just wish every buyer used them!

Edited to fix UBB code.

Bidpay works great for buyers outside of the USA. It's a bit expensive for US buyers..

I won't accept PayPal but a couple of my US customers have paid via BidPay and the service was excellent. What I like about BidPay is that I'm not required to register in order to receive payments. It's great.

We take BidPay and even advertise it. However, since we've had BidPay take up to a MONTH to send out our MO, our stated policy is that We ship when we receive the MO". The last six months have been fine, tho . . .
