I have been thinking about changing my user id but don't know if you have to start all over with feedback. I have noticed people who have the sunshades beside their user id their feedback is zero or a very low number. My feedback is only 180 since I have been selling less than a year but still I would rather not start over.
Thanks

No - you can change your user id once every 30 days - you get the sunglasses when you do, but your feedback stays the same...

Thank you for starting this thread. I have been wondering the same thing. Also, do the sunglasses lower bidding even though you have decent feedback? Are buyers leery of the change in id?

You might lose a few bidders do to the sunglasses. I think there is some effect (always curious why eBay chose those stupid sunglasses to begin with).

Many Sellers start off as Buyers. They accumulate Positive Feedback by being good Buyers. Then, they begin to sell and their feedback has little to do with being a Seller and how well they treat their customers.
You may want to do what we did when we decided to get serious and do this full-time: create a second ID off of the first, then route all of your regular customers to the new ID. We wanted to be totally honest with our Buyers and make every single feedback Selling related. We did the crossover with a minimum amount of fuss.
