I was at the 7-11 yesterday and saw an internet rag. It had something about a free service that you can download which will clean off banner ads while you surf which speeds up your browser. It's cool! I turned on the "zap" sound effects and when I surfed onto AW it went crazy ( =

The web site is adsubtract.com and the "personal" version is the free one. It also keeps track of how many banner ads it "blew up" for you. Have fun! - r80gs (ebay)

There have been earlier posts here on AW about adsubtract. It seems that everyone that uses it really likes it.

It is pretty useful, eh?

want to surff the web super fast like a rocket go to ant linux web sigh get the URL to down load a windows version of a text only browser.

You can load about 50 web pages in the time it take to load one with explorer or netscape.

these browsers take no cookies and show only text any java active X frames are plan out of luck cant veiw nothing but meta tags on most these pages.

But you will incress your computer speed 500X

Lynx is the name of the best text only broswer this browser will load faster with a 14.0 modem then someone useing IE5.5 and a cable modem .

I've used adsubtract for about 2 months. With cable, I'm not too worried about speed.

The best thing about adsubtract is that it creates a fake proxy ISP address for your system. Normaly when I go to a member site like AW,Amazon, eBay it recognizes me and has my user name up and ready for me to sign in my password.

If I have adsubtract on, the site doesn't know who I am. Amazon doesn't recognize, nor does eBay, or any other site.
