Here is what happened.

One week after auction closed I find this NEG in my feedback profile.
A buyer was trying to pay me through PayPal and the payment was not accepted.

In the mean time during this 1 week period I get 2 e-mails from this buyer that "she is waiting to hear from me as she wants to pay by PayPal. With the first e-mail I send her another EOA notice. Here comes the second e-mail, SAME AS THE FIRST ONE. So I send her an EOA e-mail through "send this auction to a friend".

After that I get the NEG (Thanksgiving Day).

I'm thinking what the heck is going on here?

I e-mail her and ask her what the problem is, I didn't deserve the NEG, and I thought she acted a little hasty. And, I didn't know what more I could have done.

As it turned out...she WAS getting my EOA's and was trying to pay me through PayPal but was being denied, unaccepted or some such thing. She really wanted the item and why didn't I send her a "money request" though PayPal.

Ya-Right, like I can read her mind?

This buyer has 40 ALL positive feedback(except for the neg I gave her) Well, she called me an ASS, so I neg'ed her. Very calm and factual to I might add.

MY SOLUTION:

Item goes out on Monday as a gift with a Christmas card. I'll kill her with KINDNESS

WHY you ask?

I feel like I was partly to blame for misreading her FIRST e-mail.

still waiting to hear from you about the wicker baskets. I tried sending
through paypal with no luck. What do you want me to do?

With Thanksgiving and company looming ever so close, I guess I read it a little fast, only seeing the first sentence. I get a lot of that. Just why is our EOA not getting through to the bidders?

Still and all she did act hasty in her NEG. 1 week is nothing to me...had it been 1 month, then there could have been reason for some concern.

My last neg was over 800 positives ago...I was a little surpised to see it. Oh well "win" some "lose" some.

But make no mistake on this one, I'm going to be the winner!

Thanks for letting me share!

I have had some buyers doing the same thing with me here when it come to paying me paypal they write back three times for my address to send payment paypal.

I Just completed a buy from a seller who in tos says they perfer paypal they sent the request it comes with a link to make the payment to them no address mistakes can be made.

this went nearly as smooth as a billpoint payment with invoice think I will send cash request to buyers who mention they want to paypal me now.

will save alot of confusion I think then again the only time I get in trouble is when I think.

Hehehe,
This is so funny, I have a buyer that owes me $121.50 for an auction that just closed a couple of days ago and SHE SENT me a "MONEY REQUEST" from PayPal.
I e-mailed her and said "ummmm, I think you have this backwards"
So, I sent her a "Money Request" I haven't heard back from her yet.

It is amazing how confusing this stuff can get sometimes.

Some of it just makes me Chuckle!

you mean all of us sellers have been doing it wrong all along? We are supposed to pay them to take the merchandise off our hands?

Can you imagine the bidding wars if that really was the case!
