Can anyone tell me anything good or bad about this new online payment? I'm almost up to my $500.00 limit with PAYPAL, and I don't want to be verified. Looking for a new way to receive payment. Thanks, gang!!

MoneyZap and ExchangePath are still both free services.

I would stick with paypal also give billpoint a try you can take payments for any sale on the web you make with them now the money is automatically deposited in to you bank account in 2 to 3 days they dont try to play bank.

Might as well brace your self for fees if your going to accept credit card sales and remember there is no such thing as being sheltered from charge backs this is A right of all card holders.

if you worry is paypal will try to freeze your bank account dont worry they cant and if you sign a paper with your bank after you verify with paypal your bank can lock paypal from withdrawing from your account.

How ever this means you would not be able to fund paypal from your checking account and you wouldnt be able to use your debit card to make payment through them and any charge backs you would have to write a check for.

frosty, I highly recommend Billpoint. No games, no lies, no retroactive TOS changes. FDIC-insured.

Now that they offer payments for anything (not just auctions anymore), they're 1000% better than Paypal ever was.

Paypal's a bunch of neophite wannabe bankers who think freezing users' accounts for weeks (months) is a nifty way to earn some more on the float.

I am signed up with BillPoint, but my customers just don't seem to use it. I had one buyer from Japan and that worked great. I had a Western union money order within 3 days...I think I'll start pushing for BillPoint on my sales..Thanks for all the good advice. I appreciate it.

When paypal first started it was too good to be true so I waited to see. Well, several months later I finally signed up -after the $10 was downed to $5.

Sure from the get-go I was aware of their gimicks of their sell strategy, all the way up to even now and beyond. Same old, same old. The "carrots," what's between the lines and so on. Very old "tricks."

Yes I am watching the fees being changed. Still I have customers that are using paypal and I wonder if they would have bypassed me for another seller? I want to provide as much customer service as possible. In my opinion, paypal is still the best and the most popular. (I am registered with Billpoint and Bidpay.)

I have a business account. I started with a personal and upgraded it to business. I regret not developing a second account. Yes you can have two accounts! One personal and one business. Now I would have to develop another personal bank account or change the one I have to get a personal paypal account.

Am I a slave to paypal? NO! I can walk away from it. My treasure is buried in heaven not here in this world. I am a very independent person and it is my business.
I am Paypal's customer and I believe I have a responsiblity to my customers to insure that they are treated right by all who are involved with the transaction. So if Paypal doesn't treat my customers right, then they are out the door!

Besides, the fees are a business expense and can be written off on the taxes.

After saying this I am yet to have any problems with Paypal! I do recommend it, however I do understand why some would disagree with me.

Sorry frosty123 I guess I didn't answer your question. I got a little carried away.

Billpoint has at least 2 fee schedules. If you do higher volume ($2,000 per month I think) and have good feedback, you can get a lower rate -- very close to Paypal's, or cheaper depending on how you look at it.

But I think that most of the complaints with Paypal are not about the fess themselves, but more about the company's highly deceptive business practices.
