Thanks for the heads-up. I don't bother with EBAYs self-serving announcement board unless someone here mentions that it's worth my while.

I read the announcement, followed the link to the suggestions for change, and then tried to follow the link to a bulletin board to post my thoughts, but the link didn't lead anywhere. If anyone can find the specific bulletin board that contains discussion of this topic, please post the URL here.
I liked most of the suggested changes, EXCEPT for "make feedback anonymous" idea. I think that's a seriously flawed proposition.....it would possibly solve *some* problems but would open up a whole ugly can of worms and make things even worse at the same time. (i.e. somebody leaves anonymous transactional feedback for Buyer X, buyer X mistakenly suspects it's YOU, a seller he had dealings with who could be a suspect in the anonymous neg--snd to get back at you, the supposed villain, buyer X leaves YOU a neg when you had nothing to do with it.....that's just ONE scenario that comes to mind....)

Hi Reddeer: Thanks for the link. I had an unexpected move, (long story), and have been offline for about a month. Came here looking for what's happening now.
You are right anonymous feedback is a very scary thing for eBay to be considering. I think it would it would lessen the value of having feedback. Cowards, kooks, and crackpots find power in anonymity.
